Take a behind the scenes peak at the incredible work of world-renowned lettering artist, Craig Black's Robert Burns mural, which will take pride of place at Glasgow's SWG3 throughout January.
For more than 200 years, the works of Robert Burns have inspired countless creatives, both in his home country of Scotland, and further afield. With this in mind, a new tribute to Burns has been created ahead of Burns Night 2019, as part of the campaign to celebrate his legacy and continued impact on modern Scottish culture.
This year, we teamed up with world-renowned, Scottish-born lettering artist, graphic designer and typographer, Craig Black. Craig has become well-known for his bespoke and innovative typographic illustrations, visual identities, packaging and installations and was the perfect choice to showcase the inspiration Burns’ works provide.
The finished mural is a wonderfully evocative piece, showcasing some of Burns’ best-known works, but with a modern twist, and will be on display at Glasgow’s SWG3 throughout January.
We also created a behind-the-scenes video to go alongside the mural, to show the amazing amount of effort that went into creating this truly one of a kind piece!
