VisitScotland launches new global online community

Millions of people across the world have a special connection to Scotland. Whether it's through family, work or holidays, Scotland has a special place in many people's hearts. To keep these amazing connections alive, VisitScotland has launched a new global online community to allow Scots at home, abroad and at heart, to bring the country alive by sharing their own experiences.

This new community will mean everyone worldwide from New York to New Guinea will be able to go online and speak to the people who truly know the best of Scotland. iKnow Scotland, the title of the new community, will not only act as an forum where people can tell their own stories, share advice and pictures, but there will also be a live web chat function where visitors can ask questions and get answers in real time.

A practical trip planning tool is also available on the new portal which will help visitors plan their break by creating, saving and sharing their own travel itineraries.

People can find out more about everything including Unusual Sleeps (interesting places to lay your head in Scotland) to Understanding Scotland (everything that's fascinating about Scottish art, culture, history and society).

Visitors can also share their own experiences including Images and opinions through setting up a discussion thread, where they can share everything from their favourite running routes to Scotland's best bacon rolls.

So what are you waiting for, come and be part of Scotland's community and find out the best of Scotland from the people who know it best!
